Hotel Polaris is seeking an exceptional Evening Maintenance Supervisor to join our team and play a vital role in shaping the success of Hotel Polaris, an instant icon on the hospitality landscape of Colorado Springs. Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Maintain the hotel facility and related equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- →Manage adequate inventory of parts, supplies, tools, and material for the department.
- →Must be able to respond to emergency situations, such as fire alarms, and other life-safety situations.
- →Maintain a working knowledge of all federal, state, local laws, codes, and regulations.
- →Conducts walk-through and visually assesses the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structures of the property, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, and any other related equipment.
- →Perform general maintenance to guestrooms and public areas.
- →Receive daily work assignments and review priorities and special projects.
- →Maintain timelines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance program.
- →Perform electrical, HVAC, plumbing, painting, and carpentry work orders, as needed.
- →Assist other engineering/maintenance personnel as instructed by Director of Engineering in regard to routine and preventive maintenance.
Requirements
~1 min read- Minimum three (3) years of experience in the facilities management of related properties or other comparable business.
- At least two years of supervisory experience preferred.
- Must have extensive working knowledge of building systems to include but not limited to; HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, roofs, building finishes, mechanical operations, energy management, and Preventative Maintenance Programs.
- Experience in a comparable AAA Four Diamond/Four Star hotel or higher is highly desired.
- Ability to work the overnight shift, including on weekends & holidays.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and more with assistance.
- Must be able to climb ladders, work at heights.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather and temperature conditions.
- Must possess visual and auditory ability to identify equipment issues and respond to emergencies.
