About the Role

Culmen International is hiring a Checkpoint Site Lead. Will serve as the primary on-site representative for the TSA SEDS checkpoint contract. This individual is responsible for the seamless execution of construction management and systems integration within a high-stakes airport environment. The Site Lead ensures that all technical specifications—from seismic requirements to electrical infrastructure—are met while managing diverse stakeholders and maintaining strict adherence to federal compliance standards.

Project Management & Execution: Lead complex construction management projects, ensuring delivery is on-time and within budget. Navigate the unique complexities and schedule histories inherent to airport environments.

Technical Compliance: Oversee design alternatives and solutions, ensuring all work meets federal, state, and local specifications.

Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the central point of contact for multiple stakeholders, including TSA officials, airport authorities, and prime contractors.

Site Supervision: Manage the daily activities of field staff and sub-contracting firms, ensuring safety and quality standards are exceeded.

Infrastructure Oversight: Apply a deep understanding of airport-specific construction, including floor loading capacities, rigging complexities, and electrical infrastructure.
Requirements
~1 min readBA/BS + 8 years of experience OR MA/MS + 6 years of experience
Technical Knowledge: Thorough understanding of airport construction practices and standards (seismic, electrical, rigging).
Regulatory Familiarity: Mastery of the Checkpoint Requirements and Planning Guide (CRPG) for checkpoint operations.
Compliance: Demonstrated ability to resolve compliance issues with federal authorities.
Clearance: Active DHS Suitability or the ability to obtain it immediately.
Specific Experience: Previous project leadership at US airports.
