Coordinates a multi-stakeholder community partnership to plan and implement initiatives related to the Greater Sullivan County Public Health Regional Public Health Network Public Health Emergency Preparedness scope of work. Coordinates assessment, capacity development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of regional public health emergency preparedness projects by community stakeholders, organizations, and the NH Division of Public Health and Human Services. This role is four days a week in the Lebanon/Claremont/Newport area and one day remote work per week. Valid driver's license required. 

 

This position is a Full Time, 40hr per week, benefitted position. Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 5:00PM. 

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Convenes the Regional Coordinating Council, comprised of an array of health, municipal, public health, community service, and emergency services members.
  • Ensures assessment of community needs and assets related to public health preparedness.
  • Ensures the development of regional emergency preparedness plans to operate or support Point of Dispensing Sites and Alternate Care Sites consistent with requirements of NH Division of Public Health Services.
  • Engages regional stakeholders in the development of these plans and develops MOUs and other agreements regarding the roles of various entities in public health emergencies.
  • Works with the Upper Valley Public Health Advisory Committee to organize and implement school-based influenza immunization clinics and other school/community health interventions as prioritized by the Advisory Committee, the Director and NH Division of Public Health Services.
  • Integrates evaluation strategies or supports evaluation strategies that can be used to track progress and improve the quality of future prevention strategies, including participation in RATAR and LTAR reviews and evaluation of emergency preparedness drills as required by the State of NH.

    • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience in fire, police, emergency services, or public health related community organizing.
    • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, creativity, maturity, flexibility, diplomacy, and the ability to work as part of a team required.
    • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects under pressure required.
