We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant, Inventory join our growing Corporate Accounting team. This role will serve as a key business partner across operations and finance, supporting inventory accounting activities while helping drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in inventory cost accounting, an eagerness to learn, and a continuous improvement mindset. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a company currently undergoing a Workday ERP implementation, where the individual will play an active role in helping build and optimize inventory processes within a new system environment.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support monthly close activities related to inventory accounting, including journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis
- →Maintain and analyze inventory costing, reserves, variances, and inventory-related financial reporting
- →Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate inventory reporting and process alignment
- →Assist with inventory controls, cycle counts, and audit support
- →Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and operational efficiencies across inventory accounting workflows
- →Participate in the implementation and optimization of Workday inventory and accounting processes
- →Help document and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls related to inventory
- →Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in public accounting and/or internal inventory accounting
- Foundational understanding of inventory cost accounting principles and inventory controls
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proactive, curious, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
- Process improvement and automation-oriented mindset with a desire to challenge and improve existing processes
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively across teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
- Oracle and Workday experience is a plus
