About the Role
~1 min readDMI, LLC is seeking an MECM Engineering to join us. The MECM Engineering is a senior technical and managerial role focused on leading the ongoing operations and management of a Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM) environment in a complex federal government environment. The MECM Engineering Lead is responsible for the enterprise Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) strategy, blending hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities to ensure secure, scalable, and efficient endpoint management.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead the administration and support of MECM, managing software deployments, updates, patches, and configurations across the organization.
- →Ensure MECM infrastructure is scalable to meet organizational growth and mission needs
- →Develop and maintain MECM configurations, collections, and task sequences for OS and application deployment.
- →Manage operating system images, validate new hardware, and implement hardware/OS refresh cycles.
- →Troubleshoot and resolve complex MECM client and deployment issues.
- →Monitor and maintain MECM infrastructure for scalability, security, and performance.
- →Establish and follow industry best practices for both routine and zero-day patch management.
- →Deploy and update applications according to defined criteria, ensuring compatibility and compliance.
- →Orchestrate security patch cycles to meet defined patching timeframes and compliance requirements.
- →Develop and maintain scripts (often PowerShell) to automate administrative tasks, improve deployment efficiency, and generate reports.
- →Lead and mentor a team of senior and mid-level engineers/admins, guiding skill development and ensuring focus on customer priorities.
- →Collaborate with security, ITSM, and service desk teams to meet enterprise requirements

Requirements

- Experience with OS deployment, driver management, and configuration baselines.
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, batch, or other automation tools).
- Understanding of endpoint security, compliance, and UEM strategies.
- Leadership and communication skills to manage cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a government or regulated environment with security clearances (TS clearance highly preferred)
