As a Behavioral Health Technician, you’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive environment for teenage girls facing mental health challenges. Your work helps clients build coping skills, reconnect with family, and move toward sustainable wellness using proven therapeutic approaches.

Responsibilities

→Ensure Client Safety

→Supervision of client emotional and physical safety
→Provide early intervention ahead of and during emotional and behavioral crises
→Maintain personal and professional boundaries

→Align and Operate within the Treatment Team’s Approach for Each Client

→Attend to daily Treatment Team direction for updates on client treatment protocol application
→Communicate and collaborate with supervisors and clinicians regarding client issues and notable progress
→Document client progress notes daily

→Provide Quality and Engaging Client Services

→Encourage client engagement in activities of daily living (ADLs) and coping skill applications
→Coach and develop client social skills
→Plan and facilitate client activities in art, music, yoga, fitness, and a variety of other on and off campus activities

→Integrate specialized trainings

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work or related field preferred, but not required.
21+ years of age or older
Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
Able to pass criminal investigation background check
Current driver's license required
EMT/CNA background preferred
Ability to effectively communicate and build healthy relationships.
Ability to set and teach positive values
Ability to perform CPR and First-Aid.
Ability to safely hold or restrain an upset or combative student
Skill in de-escalating agitated students.
Preferred - One year of experience in a residential setting using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities.
Ability to plan, implement, and adjust to plans accordingly
