Are you a self-motivated permitting coordinator looking to make a significant impact on a complex infrastructure project? In this role, you will work closely with the construction team, landowners, and stakeholders to secure access to lands required for construction, investigations, and temporary works. You will coordinate and obtain Permits to Enter (PTEs) and Construct (PTECs) from property owners to ensure project activities can proceed safely and on schedule.

Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Review property plates and design drawings to ensure an adequate land area is being offered to the Constructor for each applicable scope.
- →Coordinate access requirements with engineering, construction, and environmental teams
- →Support planning and scheduling of investigations and construction activities on third-party lands
- →Ensure all required approvals are in place before fieldwork begins
- →Assist with resolving access issues that may impact project timelines
- →Prepare and maintain accurate records of agreements, permits, and property data
- →Support the preparation of correspondence, agreement documents, and reports
- →Liaise with legal teams to finalize agreement terms and conditions
- →Track risks related to land access and provide regular status updates to the project team
- →Coordinate, track and support the acquisition of land access rights required for the project and ensure timely renewals or extensions.
- →Obtain Permits to Enter (PTEs) for site investigations, surveys, early works, temporary works, construction activities required on private and third-party lands
- →Support the client in providing any construction input required to negotiate agreements such as licenses, Fee simple, permanent/temporary easements, notice of possession etc.
- →Act as a point of contact between landowners, tenants, project teams, and external stakeholders
- →Build and maintain positive working relationships with property owners and businesses
- →Respond to inquiries from the public, consultants, and project stakeholders in a professional manner
- Diploma or degree in a related field (Cvil Engineering, Urban Planning)
- 2 - 3 years experience working on infrastructure, construction, or transit projects is an asset
- Familiarity with property agreements such as licences, easements, and access permits is preferred
- Basic knowledge of land acquisition processes or municipal/provincial regulations is an asset
- 2D drafting and markup skills using CAD, Bluebeam or similar software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; GIS experience is an asset
- A valid G-class Driver’s License
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good negotiation and problem-solving abilities
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
