The Value Stream Buyer/Planner owns end-to-end supply chain planning and procurement activities for an assigned value stream. This role serves as the primary supply chain partner balancing customer demand, production capacity, inventory to achieve operational and financial objectives. Through data-driven decision making and cross-functional collaboration, the Buyer/Planner drives continuous improvement while supporting revenue growth and operational excellence. 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor key supply chain metrics including inventory turns, backlog, capacity utilization, and forecast accuracy.
  • Analyze and forecast inventory needs to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Develop short and long-term capacity plans to support growth objectives and customer demand.
  • Utilize ERP and planning data to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for operational excellence.
  • Create and implement improvements to streamline processes and improve efficiency in supply chain management.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors, Engineering and Logistics to ensure availability of capacity, materials and resources for planned orders.
  • Creates purchase orders for materials, components, equipment and services in a cost-effective and timely manner.
  • Partner with plant leadership to identify risks and opportunities that could impact delivery performance or revenue attainment
  • Identify and monitor material shortages and implement corrective action to support production.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field preferred.   
  • 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management or related field required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central, Power BI, Microsoft Excel preferred.

Compensation: $80,000-$85,000 annual salary depending on experience
