Sushi Server (BELL GARDENS, CA. 90201)

We are seeking a Sushi Server for our Sora Sushi Bar here at Parkwest Bicycle Casino. Sora is a new and exciting dining concept that combines the best of traditional sushi and contemporary hand rolls.

 

We are seeking energetic and customer-focused individuals to join our team as servers. At Sora, our servers play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient dining experience, ensuring that each guest enjoys the best of our sushi and hand roll offerings. We are committed to delivering an exceptional dining experience with high-quality ingredients, meticulous preparation, and a vibrant, fast-paced atmosphere. 

→Ensure that guests have a pleasant dining experience by efficiently delivering sushi and other menu items, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.

→Greet and welcome guest with a friendly and professional demeanor.

→Play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient dining experience, ensuring that each guest enjoys the best of our sushi and hand roll offerings.

→Has a deep understanding of the sushi menu, including different types of sushi (nigiri, sashimi, maki rolls), ingredients, preparation methods, and accompaniments.

→Explain sushi bar’s unique dining concept, highlighting fresh hand rolls and sushi.

→Has full awareness of various sushi ingredients, including types of fish, rice, seaweed, and condiments like wasabi, soy sauce, and pickled ginger.

→Knowledge of traditional Japanese beverages, including sake, and the ability to suggest pairings with sushi dishes enhances the customer experience. Prior experience in recommending or serving sake is a plus.

→Ability to guide customers with allergies or dietary preferences (e.g., gluten-free, vegan) through the menu options.

→Accurately take orders from customers, ensuring that special requests or dietary restrictions are noted. Relay these orders to the kitchen and sushi chefs.

→Serve sushi and other dishes to customers in a timely manner, ensuring that each dish is presented attractively.

→Other job-related duties may be assigned.

• Must be able to pass mandatory screening including a background check and drug test.
• Must possess RBS Certification (Responsible Beverage Service).
