A Tournament Cashier sells and redeems chips, cashes personal checks, player bank withdrawals, markers and Cash Advance checks. Inputs transactions into computer by performing the duties outlined below.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Sells and redeems chips for players and floor staff as specified by policy and procedures guidelines.
- →Prepares paperwork and pay out monies on different casino drawings and promotions.
- →Prepares Jackpot monies for winners. Pay out Jackpot monies to Floor or directly to winners.
- →Issue tournament banks, handles player’s buy in into different tournaments.
- →Prepares tournament reconciliation forms for the accounting department.
- →Pays price pool monies as specified on the Tournament Reconciliation Form.
- →Receives and verifies tournament monies for deposit and prepares tournament players bank deposits.
- →Handles Player’s reward paid out and post player’s bank withdrawals into the computer.
- →Cashes checks and markers for players up to pre-approved credit limit and posts transactions to the computer.
- →Processes credit card cash advances using the Credit Card System.
- →Responsible and accountable for Chip/Cash Fund as assigned at the window during the shift.
- →Follows tax guidelines for Jackpot winnings and Tournament winnings as specified by policy and procedure.
- →Other job related duties as assigned.
Requirements
~1 min read- Must be able to pass mandatory screening which may include a background and credit check, and drug test.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a current California gambling establishment team member permit, badge or license.
- Must demonstrate basic math and financial skills.
- Able to work varied shifts and flexible schedules including weekends/holidays.
- Good organizational and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task effectively.
- Excellent skills in customer relations.
High school diploma, G.E.D or equivalent. Associate’s degree preferred.
At least one year of cash-handling experience and is well versed in Title 31/AML procedures.
Physical and Mental Requirements:• Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.
