The salary mentioned above reflects the potential base pay range for this role. Bonuses or other incentives (if applicable) are offered separately and paid pursuant to the relevant program schedule. All employment offers will consider such factors as overall experience, job-related qualifications, location, certifications/training, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic sessions to guide residents through excises to improve motor skills, sensory processing and daily function
  • Recorde resident progress, treatments and observations as directed
  • Work under the direction of Occupationa Therapist to support our residents with treatment plans
  • Educate residents and family members on how to use adaptive equipment and perform excercise programs 
  • Set up and ensure proper cleanliness of treatment areas
  • Prepare materials and manage therapy supplies

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Current license in the state of Maryland
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a geriatric or a subacute facility preferred
  • Certified by the American Occupation Therapy Association
  • Prefer active membership in the state and national American Occupational Therapy Association
  • Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Occupational Therapist and the policies and procedures of the facility
