- Manages and coordinates design, development, and enhancement of new and existing products/product lines.
- Manages the evaluation of design feasibility and design optimization.
- Ensures team meets project milestones and completes projects within established timeline.
- Evaluates issues, provides resolution, and communicates to stakeholders.
- Leads and directs the work of other employees and has responsibility for personnel actions including hiring, performance management, and termination with concurrence from HR & General Managers.

- →Project Execution: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of materials as it relates to the projects the team supports.
Requirements
~1 min read- Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 7-8 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
- Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
- Discipline/Major: Engineering Design or other Engineering degree
- Other Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Expertise with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environments
- Background with CAD related products
- Working knowledge of digital transformation topics such as model based definition, digital threads, digital twins, etc.
- Strategic Planning: develop and implement strategic plans to drive innovation and improve engineering processes; align engineering initiatives with the broader company vision and goals; assess emerging technologies and industry trends to keep the company at the forefront of innovation.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
- Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
