~1 min read- →Supervises staff and provides leadership, coaching and guidance.
- →Ensures staff operate in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws within their area of responsibility.
- →Executes decisions in alignment with Credit Union policies and procedures, demonstrating sound judgment and well-reasoned decision-making.
- →Collaborates with department leadership regarding operational and departmental changes.
- →Reviews, implements and monitors policies, procedures and best practices within areas of responsibility.
Requirements
~1 min read- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of three years of bankruptcy experience and two years of collections experience required; two years of supervisory experience required. Experience in consumer lending, business lending, and mortgage collections is preferred, with post charge-off recovery collections experience required.
- Must be knowledgeable of Debtor/Creditor Collection Law, Fair Debt Collections Practices Act, and Florida Statutes pertaining to the collection of consumer and business debts. Familiar with bankruptcy, foreclosure and litigation law pertaining to collections.
- Must exhibit maturity of judgment and have a thorough understanding of the collection philosophy and the Credit Union’s policy regarding the adjustment of past due loans and the relationship of the collection effort to other departments and the overall success of the Credit Union.
- Excellent telephonic communication, negotiation and analytical skills needed.
- Demonstrated ability to recognize and resolve problems quickly, provide accurate information regarding specific circumstances and convey facts in a professional, clear and concise manner.
- Experience in a call center environment beneficial.
- Intermediate to advanced operational knowledge of general office and PC equipment and the use of automated collection software required.
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and type English.
- Must be able to hear and use a telephone & headset.
- Use of computer requires repetitive keystrokes.
- Work from home available.
- Sedentary role.
