Safety Manager | Cambridge, MA

As a Safety Manager, you’ll support critical project needs by ensuring best practices are implemented, safety compliance requirements are met, and a strong culture of safety is maintained onsite. This role will oversee day-to-day safety operations within an active commercial/life sciences environment while partnering closely with project teams and subcontractors.

 

HazTek is seeking an experienced Safety Manager in Cambridge MA to support operations at a high-profile operational facility. This position is responsible for driving OSHA compliance, conducting site audits, issuing permits, and ensuring subcontractors are executing work safely and in accordance with project requirements.

 

• →Oversee all aspects of project safety ensuring OSHA compliance
• →Conduct daily safety meetings, audits, and inspections
• →Issue and manage permits related to high-risk work activities
• →Oversee subcontractors and ensure compliance with site safety requirements
• →Complete accident reports and conduct incident investigations
• →Monitor critical risk activities including Fall Protection, Scaffolding, Steel Erection, and Excavation
• →Partner with project management and field leadership to promote proactive safety practices

• Minimum 5+ years of direct construction safety experience required
• OSHA 510 highly preferred
• Experience overseeing subcontractors in commercial or life sciences environments preferred
• Strong knowledge of permit processes and site auditing required
• CHST, CSP, or additional BCSP certifications preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
• Proficient Microsoft Office skills required
