Responsibilities

→Assists in providing nursing care to patients.
→Plans appropriate nursing measures based on short-term patient needs.
→Under direction of the Clinical Coordinator, reinforces patient education as patient presents readiness to learn.
→Floats to other units within the practice when a need is indicated.
→Communicates effectively and establishes/maintains interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors, and hospital personnel.
→Knowledgeable in the growth and developmental needs of infants through geriatric patients.
→Follows Universal Precautions.
→Successfully passes practice specific competencies.

Requirements

Knowledge of pathophysiology, the nursing process, and nursing interventions necessary for delivering technical nursing care
Completion of an accredited practical nurse program and current Indiana licensure or awaiting Indiana State Board testing results for Indiana LPN licensure or reciprocity for Indiana licensure
One-year experience preferred
BLS certification
Excellent customer service skills
Computer experience
