Responsibilities

→Works closely with all laboratory personnel to facilitate the performance of laboratory tests as ordered by the physician
→Maintains a pleasant and friendly attitude with patients and tries to answer their questions to the best of their ability
→Interacts with nursing personnel in the completion of laboratory requisitions and the charting
→Assists patients and physicians in acquiring correct information about preparation for testing
→Schedules patients for testing

Requirements

Ability to read well enough to follow instructions, write legibly, have good communication skills and a moderate degree of manual dexterity
Must be a registered CPT Phlebotomist or equivalent
BLS certification required
