Perform audits of all Main and Madison ED accounts to identify appropriate E/M level, supply charges, pharmacy charges and CPT coded procedures for services provided in the ED’s; manual charge entry for appropriate charges based on Cerner documentation; perform audits of ED charts and accounts to determine charge corrections; processes appropriate charge corrections on accounts; provides required information regarding drug charge discrepancies to appropriate Pharmacy personnel.

Requirements

  • 3 years clinical experience in a hospital or physician office setting
  • Effective communication skills with internal hospital departments.
  • Must be able to effectively and accurately manage a large volume of medical records
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Alabama nursing license (RN or LPN) preferred
  • Prior clinical experience will be considered in lieu of license
  • Prior medical experience preferred.
