Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Lead one-on-one and small group training sessions tailored to each client's goals and abilities
- →Design personalized fitness plans and adjust them as clients progress
- →Build strong, trusting relationships with members that keeps them coming back
- →Ensure a safe workout environment by following YMCA and certification guidelines
- →Maintain accurate session records and client progress notes
- →Collaborate with fellow associates to create a welcoming, supportive wellness area
- →Report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or incidents to the appropriate supervisor promptly
Requirements
~1 min read- Current nationally accredited personal training certification, including but not limited to:
- American Council on Exercise (ACE)
- National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM)
- American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
- National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA)
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire — we cover the cost)
- 18 years of age or older
- A genuine passion for helping people of all fitness levels reach their goals
- Strong communication skills and a warm, encouraging coaching style
- Reliable, professional, and a true team player
