The San Francisco office of Kaufman Dolowich LLP, recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the “Best Companies to Work For – Law Firms,” is seeking a talented and driven Litigation Associate to join our growing California team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on sophisticated and high-impact matters within a nationally recognized firm of more than 250 attorneys nationwide. The ideal candidate will have experience in Labor & Employment, Professional Liability, and/or Commercial Litigation and will thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment that offers meaningful responsibility, hands-on litigation experience, and long-term career growth opportunities.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception through resolution
- →Draft and respond to written discovery
- →Take and defend depositions
- →Prepare motions, briefs, and other substantive pleadings
- →Participate in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and oral arguments
- →Communicate directly with clients and provide strategic case updates
- →Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on complex matters
- →Assist with all aspects of litigation strategy and case management
Requirements
~1 min read- J.D. degree with strong academic credentials
- Admission to practice in California required
- Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience
- Experience in Labor & Employment, Professional Liability, and/or Commercial Litigation preferred
- Experience handling legal malpractice, accounting malpractice, and other professional liability matters is highly preferred
- Excellent written, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Strong organizational and case management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic litigation environment
