What You'll DoAs a Construction Materials Field Technician, your exposure to a wide variety of responsibilities may include but not be limited to:

• Routine quality control test procedures including concrete and nuclear moisture / density testing
• Becoming familiar with reading and understanding applicable construction plans and specifications
• Preparation and submission of daily reports
• Interact with clients, contractors, and other design professionals
• Attendance at job site related meetings
• Performance of testing in our soils and construction materials testing laboratories
• Opportunity for continuing education and role-specific certification.
• This position may require occasional travel and/or night work based on project locations, client needs, and/or active project assignments.

  Desired Qualifications  NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Comprehensive training is provided, making this position an excellent entry point into the construction materials testing industry. Kleinfelder offers a certification incentive program, including opportunities for additional compensation after obtaining industry certifications.

• Authorization to work in the United States
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass drug test.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member, maintain composure, and work effectively in a high-pressure environment with changing priorities.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., work outdoors in varying weather conditions, traverse uneven terrain, and stand for extended periods.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Able to use a company provided laptop or iPad and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Construction-related training or technical training desirable
• Certifications in Concrete and Soil desirable
