Markon is seeking Exploitation Analysts (EAs) at multiple skill levels to support core Intelligence Community cyber missions for the Fort Meade Customer. This role supports advanced cyber operations by analyzing adversary networks, identifying operational opportunities, and developing exploitation plans. Analysts will work alongside government, military, and contractor personnel to advance national security objectives through technical analysis, collaboration, and mission-focused tradecraft.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze adversary networks, network defenses, and cyber operational capabilities
  • Develop exploitation plans and recommend operational adjustments as missions evolve
  • Apply analytical techniques to query, merge, enrich, evaluate, and pivot across data sets
  • Form hypotheses and identify actionable insights to support cyber mission objectives
  • Document and share findings, methodologies, and newly developed tradecraft
  • Collaborate with government, military, and contractor teams to align intelligence needs and mission priorities
  • Communicate technical findings to teammates, stakeholders, and intelligence consumers
  • Support continuous improvement of analytic processes and exploitation strategies

Requirements

  • TS/SCI with Active Polygraph with this Customer. 
  • Degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field and 12+ years of experience
  • Relevant experience in computer or information systems design, development, or analysis
  • Experience in one or more of the following areas: cybersecurity, computer/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance, systems engineering, programming, or network/systems administration
  • Understanding of adversary networks, network defense concepts, and cyber operations
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a mission-focused team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications: OSCP, OSCE, CEH, CISSP, GPEN, GCIA, GCFA, or equivalent.

  • Experience with advanced exploitation frameworks, custom tooling, or scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash).

  • Familiarity with packet analysis tools (Wireshark/tcpdump), traffic analysis, and protocol reverse‑engineering.

  • Experience producing finished intelligence reports and briefings for leadership/mission customers.

  • Prior experience in high‑tempo cyber operations, threat hunting, or red-team engagements.

USD $190,000.00 - USD $210,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
