Responsibilities

→Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the inside/outside appearance of the building and grounds. (Outside duties limited to minor snow cleanup, fenced yard organization, etc.)
→Safely operate a forklift to handle materials and complete work.
→Make routine decisions and use problem solving to resolve maintenance/safety issues.
→Use of general maintenance tools as needed to complete required tasks/repairs.
→Ensure compliance with corporate and plant safety standards.
→Participate in equipment preventative maintenance.
→Lead 6S projects that include general safety/housekeeping tasks: setup/tear down of racking, painting identified walkways, organizing tools/work areas, etc.
→Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to drive improvement in the manufacturing facility.
Demonstrated detail orientation, self-motivation skills and ability to multi-task.
Ability to work with supervisory staff to help create a safe and well organized work area.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Ability to work efficiently in a team and coordinate work with other departments.
