We are seeking a qualified Field Safety Monitor to provide worker safety oversight during the development of energy projects in the State of California.

 

As our Worker Safety Monitor you will work on Typical project types include power generation facilities (renewable and fossil fuel), electric transmission, gas transmission and associated facilities as well as industrial development.

  • Monitor site activities to verify compliance with approved safety plans and OSHA/calOSHA requirements.
  • Review safety plans and procedures for adherence with project specific criteria and state and federal compliance.
  • Read, research, and objectively interpret safety and project specific requirements.
  • Interface with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients through participation in project meetings and site interaction.
  • Maintain clear, concise and comprehensive records related to onsite activities

  • 5+ years of experience as a safety representative on complex industrial facilities.
  • High voltage project experience is a plus.
  • Experience providing safety oversight for energy generation, transmission or heavy industrial projects.
  • Current workplace safety certification – CSP preferred but will consider CHST, CHMM, CIH, CSHM, CDM, or CSMC.
  • CPR/First Aid certified.

 

The pay range for this position in California is $145,000 to $165,000 per year. Base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. All local employment laws apply. Base pay information is based on market location. Applicants should apply via the NV5 careers site.
