Our Research & Development (R&D) team is the technical talent at the heart of our product suite, overseeing the product development lifecycle from concept to delivery. From engineering to quality assurance to data science, the R&D team ensures our customers seamlessly use our products and can depend on their consistency.
Responsibilities
~1 min readThis is a highly technical, hands-on engineering role focused on platform development, automation, and leveraging AI to migrate and refactor legacy business logic and reporting configurations into a modern cloud architecture.
The ideal candidate enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working with modern cloud-native architectures, and applying AI-driven tooling to accelerate development and modernization.
Your day-to-day job will consist of:
- Design and build AWS serverless components using services such as Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, and related technologies.
- Develop backend services and platform components using Python, TypeScript, and SQL.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and data access workloads; experience with Snowflake or modern cloud data warehouses is beneficial.
- Implement AI-driven solutions to extract business logic from legacy codebases and assist in generating report configuration metadata and parameter interfaces.
- Build systems that support automated logic validation and migration workflows.
- Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and cross-functional teams on architecture design and platform roadmap execution.
- Contribute to code quality, testing, performance tuning, logging, monitoring, and observability practices.
- Participate in design reviews and architecture discussions to continuously improve the platform and development processes.

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or equivalent years of relevant work experience.
- Travel occasionally, up to 5-10%, for key moments such as team summits, training, conferences, etc., with increased frequency during peak periods based on business demands.
- This position is subject to company on call policies which constitutes working hours outside of the normal workday as needed.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS serverless technologies.
- Proficiency in Python and TypeScript for backend and platform development.
- Strong SQL expertise, including complex transformations and data modeling for reporting workloads.
- Experience implementing AI-driven engineering workflows, such as LLM integrations, embeddings, or automated code generation.
- Experience building distributed systems, data-intensive applications, or modernizing legacy platforms.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex business logic and legacy systems.
Requirements

Familiarity with ETL/ELT frameworks and data pipeline architectures.
Experience with AI automation tools, code-generation frameworks, or metadata extraction pipelines.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.
