We are seeking a Telemetry PCA II, also referred to as a Med-Surg Tele CNA. The Med-Surg/Tele PCA II assist nurses by providing basic patient care, monitoring vital signs, supporting mobility, and ensuring patient safety for adults recovering from surgeries or illnesses while on heart monitors. They play a critical role in observing patients, reporting changes, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment to promote recovery.

- →Basic patient care: help patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating
- →Vital signs monitoring: take and record blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory rate, and oxygen saturation
- →Mobility assistance: help patients get in and out of bed, walk, or use assistive devices.
- →EKG lead maintenance: ensure telemetry monitors (heart monitors) are properly connected and functioning — though Certified Nursing Assistant’s (CNA’s) don't usually interpret heart rhythms, they might recognize when alarms go off and immediately alert registered nurses
- →Observation: monitor patients for any physical changes (shortness of breath, chest pain, altered mental status) and quickly notifying the nursing staff

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. High School Diploma or equivalent preffered2. Current Certification in Patient Care required (M.A. / CNA / EMT / Paramedic / Patient Care Tech, etc.)3. Current Dysrhythmia Interpretation Certificate upon hire and maintain current preferred.4. Current BLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current5. Six months previous experience as Monitor Technician preferred.6. Current Phlebotomy certification upon hire, preferred.7. Current EKG certification upon hire, preferred.8. Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology.9. Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.
