Monte Nido Rosewood has been delivering treatment for eating disorders for over three decades. Our programs offer a model of treatment that blends medically sophisticated care with a personalized treatment approach. Our work is grounded in evidence-based strategies for adults and adolescents suffering from eating disorders. We work from a multi-disciplinary treatment team approach while integrating state-of-the-art medical, psychiatric, nutritional, and clinical strategies to provide comprehensive care within an intimate home setting.

 

We are seeking a Phlebotomist to work at Monte Nido Rosewood in Wickenburg, Arizona.

 

Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 6 am-6:30pm

Responsibilities

  • Complies with all Rosewood and regulatory policies and standards. 
  • Is reliable and arrives to work on time with minimal absenteeism. 
  • Maintains privacy of all company information and safeguards confidentiality at all times. 
  • Complies with HIPAA laws and safeguards confidentiality of protected patient information. 
  • Obtains blood pressure, heart rate/pulse, temperature, oxygen saturation, height and weights and reports any abnormalities to nursing in a timely manner. 
  • Collects UDS, and UA under the direction and supervision of nursing, and according to licensed provider order. 
  • Within scope of practice for certification, performs phlebotomy to obtain venous blood specimens. 
  • Performs CLIA Waived point of care testing per training and competency. 
  • Complies with Infection Control policies and procedures. 
  • Assigns patient rooms according to treatment needs and updates bed board. 
  • Schedules and assists Rosewood medical and psychiatric provider appointments onsite. 
  • Inventories medical and nursing supplies and communicates low stock for re-order. 
  • Observes clients in direct line of sight during first 72 hours of admission and as needed according to provider order. This includes monitoring and supervising meals/snacks, then documenting intake percentages and eating disorder behaviors in the patient’s medical record. 
  • Assists the nurse in the admission process including: obtaining Vital Signs, EKG, UDS, labs, and thorough luggage search. 
  • Scans appropriate documents to the EMR such as lab results, EKGs, and records from outside providers and hospitals. 
  • Provides redirection for patients in crisis, monitors behaviors, provides safe milieu, requests assistance as needed, documents events in EMR, and communicates urgent and/or emergent needs to appropriate staff. 
  • May be required to accept on call coverage on occasion 
  • Performs other duties as assigned according to the scope of practice of a Medical Assistant in state of Arizona and company policy.
