CNC Programmer

Excellent opportunity for an experienced full time CNC Programmer to join the Selux team responsible for building high end architectural light fixtures.  Monday - Thursday, 6am-4:30pm, OT available.   Paid time off, paid holidays and full benefits.

Salary: $25 - 40/hr

• Proven experience in CNC programming for plasma cutters, milling machines, and press brakes.
• Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Mastercam, or similar).
• Strong understanding of G-code and machine-specific programming languages.
• Experience with 4-axis milling and multi-axis setups.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of material properties, metal fabrication, and machining processes.
• Knowledge of machine maintenance and operation; working with gauges/calipers
• Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Team oriented and self directed

• →Interpret blueprints, CAD files, and engineering drawings to create accurate CNC programs.
• →Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on projects
• →Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs for:
  • →Hypertherm plasma cutting systems
  • →Kitamura 4-axis milling machines
  • →Traditional turret punches and press brakes
• →Set up machines, verify tool paths, and conduct trial runs to ensure parts meet Selux quality standards.
• →Troubleshoot programming and machining issues to maintain production efficiency.
• →Collaborate with engineers, production supervisors, and machinists to optimize processes and reduce waste.
• →Maintain accurate documentation of programs, machine setups, and revisions.
• →Recommend improvements in programming methods, tooling, and machining strategies.
• →Carry out production, inspection and machine operation duties
• →Effectively monitor production equipment
• →Perform appropriate duties as assigned by management
• →Ensure that every machine procedure is done in accordance with the guidelines
• →Practice and follow safety protocols
