Triage RN

• →Performs telephone triage, patient education, handling of physician phone calls, pharmacy calls; may assist by calling to set up appointments or arrange hospital tests or admissions
• →Completes paperwork such as refilling medication, ordering lab tests, x-rays, school/work notes, FMLA, etc.
• →Assessing patients and determining priority and referring for emergency care
• →Counsels’ patients concerning lifestyle modifications, medication regimens, side effects, and interactions using an appropriate psychosocial communication level
• →Communicates to patients and office coordinators follow-up appointments, ancillary and/or pre-operative testing and scheduling needed for patient
• →Coordinates ordering of tests/procedures with other clinical staff
• →Respond to patient questions and concerns as liaison between physician and patient
• →Developing office protocols and training documents
• →Reports all test results to the patient as directed by the physician

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required
• State of Michigan LPN or RN License required
• BLS certification required
• At least one year of working experience as an LPN or RN required
• Athena EMR experience highly preferred 
• OB/GYN experience preferred, but not required
