Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
Support surgical and dental procedures, including preparation, monitoring, recovery, and instrument care
Run in-house laboratory testing, including CBC/chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, and more
Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
Monitor patients under anesthesia
Accurately triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories
Educate and communicate with clients about patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventative care
Provide patient monitoring and supportive care, including TPRs, pain scoring, wound care, and more
Maintain clean and well-stocked treatment and exam areas
Follow established infection control protocols
Collaborate with veterinarians and fellow team members to provide compassionate, efficient patient care

Previous veterinary assistant or veterinary technician experience
Solid technical skills, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures
Experience with anesthesia monitoring
The ability to accurately triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories
Strong time management and organizational skills to help keep the day running smoothly
Professional and compassionate client communication skills
A positive attitude and reliable approach to your work
A collaborative, team-oriented mindset
A genuine passion for veterinary medicine
A desire to continue learning and broadening your technical skill set
