Responsibilities

  • Perform venipuncture including jugular, cephalic, and saphenous blood draws
  • Place catheters and assist with fluid therapy
  • Safely restrain patients for diagnostics, treatments, and procedures using fear-free techniques whenever possible
  • Provide patient care and comfort during treatment and hospitalization
  • Assist with radiographs, sample collection, medical procedures, and surgical support
  • Maintain clean, organized treatment, exam, surgical, kennel, and dental areas
  • Restock supplies, maintain laundry, and unpack orders as needed
  • Fill prescriptions accurately and maintain treatment area organization
  • Educate clients on vaccines, protocols, follow-up care, and home care instructions
  • Prepare estimates and discuss financial commitments professionally with clients
  • Maintain accurate medical records using eVet/Pulse
  • Collaborate closely with doctors and team members to support seamless patient care
  • Provide compassionate support to clients during difficult situations
  • Previous veterinary hospital experience required
  • Basic knowledge of drug calculations
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to anticipate patient and doctor needs
  • Comfort working with computers and office equipment; eVet/Pulse experience is a plus
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently and as part of a team
