Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments
  • Support exam room flow and surgical procedures
  • Help obtain radiographs and assist with blood draws
  • Prepare and maintain treatment and exam areas
  • Communicate compassionately with clients and team members
  • Support patient care for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and exotic pets
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with daily hospital operations
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Compassion for patients, clients, and coworkers
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Desire to continue learning and growing in veterinary medicine
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds
  • 1–2 years of Veterinary Assistant experience preferred
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain a Washington Medication Clerk License (training provided)
  • No late nights, holiday hours, or on-call shifts
