Status: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience & licensure
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8 AM-5 PM. Weekends off!

Responsibilities

→Assist veterinarians on farm calls and in-clinic procedures
→Support lameness exams, reproductive work, dentistry, surgery, and emergency care
→Administer medications, vaccines, IV fluids, and anesthesia monitoring
→Collect and run lab samples (blood, urine, fecal, etc.)
→Provide nursing care and patient monitoring
→Assist with radiographs, pre-purchase exams, and diagnostics
→Handle and restrain horses safely and confidently
→Communicate effectively with clients and educate on care
→Maintain inventory, equipment, and treatment areas
→Participate in daily barn care and hospitalized patient management

Strong skills in restraint, handling, and safety
Knowledge of common equine diseases, medications, and treatments
Comfortable with IV catheter placement, injections, and anesthesia support
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication and client service skills
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
