Responsibilities

- →Accurately gather, document, and handle patient contact lens orders and payments.
- →Teach patients how to care for and use contact lenses.
- →Verify insurance benefits per patient request, file contact lens claims for any patients wishing to use their insurance benefits.
- →Cross-train to perform other tasks, including diagnostic testing and administrative front desk duties.

- →High school diploma or GED certificate
- →Completion of a contact lens, optician or ophthalmic assistant or technician program strongly preferred (COA or COT)
- →Experience working as a contact lens technician, optician, ophthalmic technician or scribe is preferred
- →Experience with EMR tools a plus
- →Proficient with MS Office tools (outlook, excel, word)
