This position is expected to assist all areas of the loading, unloading and transferring of grain and grain products for truck, barge, rail (location specific). Perform basic housekeeping and cleaning duties. Assists in basic maintenance activities.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent desired 0-1 year of experience Basic written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environment Ability to work in a highly quality controlled environment.

Primary responsibility is the operation of the grain elevator as it pertains to loading, unloading and transferring grain and grain products in an efficient, safe and sanitary manner. Also assists or leads in all other aspects of grain handling, storage, maintaining facilities/equipment and elevator operations.Responsibilities

Requirements

- 0-1 year of experience
- Basic written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a safety conscious environment
- Ability to work in a highly quality controlled environment.
- Ability to learn new tasks and equipment operations.
- Ability to maintain a good working relationship with other facility personnel
- Ability and willingness to learn the operations of the elevator.
- Understands and follows general safety rules and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Regularly walk, bend and stoop.
- Regularly required to walk on catwalks at a variety of heights; up to 200 feet with appropriate safety equipment.
- Regularly climbs stairs and ladders.
- Regularly lifts up to 75 pounds.
- Regularly enters and works in confined spaces.
- Frequently exposed to outdoor/uncontrolled weather conditions.
- Frequently work over water.
