Senior Data Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect with proven expertise in Databricks to join our client’s dynamic data engineering team. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in designing scalable data architectures and hands-on expertise in migrating data from SAP HANA to Databricks.

This is a high-impact role focused on leading the modernization of enterprise data platforms, enabling advanced analytics and AI-driven insights.

• →Lead the design and architecture of scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions using Databricks.
• →Plan, lead, and execute end-to-end SAP HANA to Databricks migration projects.
• →Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate them into data architecture strategies.
• →Optimize data pipelines, implement best practices in data modeling, and ensure data quality and governance.
• →Drive architectural decisions and mentor junior team members.

• 10+ years of experience in data architecture and enterprise data solutions.
• Strong expertise in Databricks (Delta Lake, Spark, MLflow, Unity Catalog, etc.).
• Proven experience in migrating SAP HANA data to Databricks – including planning, execution, and validation.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP (Azure preferred).
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and modern data warehouse/lakehouse architectures.
• Solid understanding of performance tuning, security, and data governance practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Certifications in Databricks or relevant cloud platforms (e.g., Databricks Certified Data Engineer).
• Experience with tools like dbt, Apache Airflow, or other orchestration frameworks.
• Background in working within regulated industries or large-scale enterprise environments.
