Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide personalized care and support, including:

→
Preparing nutritious meals and snacks
→
Providing companionship and engaging conversation
→
Offering gentle redirection and reassurance for Alzheimer's-related behaviors
→
Assisting with light housekeeping and laundry
→
Providing standby assistance while the client ambulates using a walker
→
Encouraging safe indoor and outdoor activities, including assisting the client outside while ensuring their safety
→
Medication reminders as outlined in the care plan
→
Monitoring for changes in the client's condition and communicating concerns to the office
→
Completing daily care documentation

Requirements

Ideal candidates will have:

A compassionate, patient, and dependable personality
Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer's or dementia (preferred but not required)
The ability to work independently in a client's home
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and vehicle registration
The ability to pass a criminal background check
A current TB test or willingness to obtain one before starting
