Minimum one year of professional caregiving experience required
Current CNA certification preferred
Experience operating Hoyer lifts and performing safe transfers required
Tube feeding experience preferred
Experience caring for seniors and individuals with chronic conditions, dementia, mobility limitations, or disabilities preferred
Ability to safely transfer clients utilizing gait belts, sit-to-stand devices, and Hoyer lifts
Strong communication and customer service skills
Excellent attendance and reliability record
Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations

Valid Michigan Driver's License required
Reliable personal transportation required
Must maintain current automobile insurance
Must provide a clean driving record (DMV/MVR)
Must be willing and able to transport clients using either client or caregiver vehicle as directed
Mileage reimbursement provided when transporting clients and for approved travel between assignments

Must be comfortable working in homes with cats and dogs
Must pass criminal background screening
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and transfer clients as required by the care plan
Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
