The Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, a renowned international affairs institution, seeks a full-time research assistant to support its Washington, DC based Nuclear Policy Program.

The selected candidate will work closely with-and support the research of-NPP's collection of world-leading scholars on topics including deterrence, arms control, nonproliferation, and nuclear energy. The work involves research, writing, and project management as well as periodic support for events, including a possible 2027 Carnegie International Nuclear Policy Conference.

Candidates must have exceptional research, analytical, and writing skills with the ability to synthesize complex technical material. They should also have good teamworking skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple competing tasks under time pressure while meeting deadlines. Knowledge of and experience in nuclear policy is an advantage.

Located in Dupont Circle, we offer an outstanding work environment and generous benefits, including health insurance. The anticipated salary range for this position is $50,000 - $52,000. Please note that this position will operate on a hybrid basis, requiring in-office work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
