Caseware is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to lead the continued development and execution of our centralized procurement function. Reporting to the General Counsel, this role will partner closely with Legal, Finance, Information Security, IT, and business leaders to drive strategic sourcing initiatives, optimize vendor relationships, improve procurement governance, and deliver cost savings across the organization
 
The successful candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, experience negotiating complex technology and professional services agreements, and the ability to build scalable procurement processes within a growing global SaaS organization.

📍 Location:  

This is a hybrid role requiring the successful candidate to work 3 days a week in our Toronto office, located at 351 King St E, Toronto, ON. 

Procurement Strategy & Sourcing  

  • Create and lead end-to-end procurement activities from business requirements through vendor selection, negotiation, contracting, and implementation.  
  • Develop sourcing strategies that balance cost, quality, risk, and business objectives.  
  • Lead competitive sourcing events including RFIs, RFPs, and vendor evaluations.  
  • Identify opportunities to consolidate vendors, standardize purchasing practices, and reduce overall spend.
  • Partner with business leaders to develop procurement strategies aligned with organizational priorities.  
  • Vendor & Contract Management  

  • Lead commercial negotiations for technology, SaaS, professional services, consulting, and corporate services agreements.  
  • Manage vendor relationships throughout the contract lifecycle, including performance reviews, renewals, and risk mitigation.  
  • Maintain and enhance the centralized contract repository and renewal management process.  
  • Develop vendor scorecards and performance metrics to support strategic supplier management.  
  • Procurement Operations & Governance  

  • Establish and continuously improve procurement policies, workflows, templates, and governance processes.  
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, security requirements, legal standards, and financial controls.  
  • Partner with Information Security, Privacy, Legal, and Finance to coordinate vendor due diligence and risk assessments.  
  • Take the lead in supporting the implementation and optimization of procurement systems, automation initiatives, and reporting capabilities
  • Financial & Business Partnership  

  • Analyze organizational spend to identify savings opportunities and improve purchasing efficiency.  
  • Prepare procurement dashboards, executive reporting, and key performance indicators.  
  • Provide procurement guidance and consulting to stakeholders across the business.  
  • Support annual budgeting and strategic planning through vendor and spend analysis.  
  • Continuous Improvement  

  • Drive procurement transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, scalability, and employee experience.
  • Stay current on procurement best practices, market trends, and supplier innovations.  
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects supporting operational excellence.  
  •   

    Required  

  • 5–10 years of progressive procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or supply chain experience, preferably within a SaaS, technology, or professional services environment.  
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating commercial contracts and managing supplier relationships.  
  • Experience leading sourcing events (RFPs, RFIs, vendor evaluations).  
  • Strong understanding of procurement governance, contract lifecycle management, and vendor risk management.  
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.  
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with senior leaders across multiple business functions.  
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.  
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting.  
  • Preferred  

  • Experience implementing or optimizing procurement systems or contract lifecycle management (CLM) platforms.  
  • Experience supporting global procurement operations across multiple regions.  
  • Knowledge of SaaS licensing, software procurement, cloud services, and professional services agreements.
  • Professional procurement certification (SCMP, CPSM, CIPS, CPPB, or equivalent) is an asset. 
  • The annual base salary for this position is between $110,000 CAD and $130,000 CAD per year. 

    This role is also eligible for discretionary bonus and/or commission, as well as other benefits. Actual pay within the listed range will be determined based on factors such as transferable skills, relevant experience, market conditions, and primary work location. The posted range is subject to change and may be updated periodically.
