Weldability and arc stability
Verify compliance with applicable standards (AWS / IS / EN).
Approve or reject batches based on test results.
Review routine lab testing of raw materials and finished electrodes test results.
Ensure proper handling and preparation of test samples.
Maintain and monitor calibration status of testing instruments.
Ensure accuracy and repeatability of test results.
Maintain accurate records of:
Incoming inspection reports
In-process inspection logs
Final inspection and test reports
Ensure full batch traceability from raw material to finished product.
Prepare daily, weekly, and batch quality reports.
Follow document control requirements as per ISO 9001.
Identify and report non-conforming products and processes.
Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) of defects.
Support implementation and verification of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Ensure proper disposition of rejected materials (rework/scrap).
Support QA team during internal and external audits.
Ensure inspection records and documents are audit-ready.
Assist in preparation of quality dossiers and compliance reports.
Support sample preparation and testing for customer approvals.
Assist in investigation of customer complaints and provide data/report support.
Ensure compliance with safety practices in production and lab areas.
Monitor proper usage of PPE (gloves, masks, safety shoes, etc.).
Follow safe handling of chemicals and hot materials.
Maintain good housekeeping and 5S practices.
Suggest improvements in process control and inspection methods.
Work towards reducing defects, rework, and process variations.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
