About the Role
~1 min readThe Assistant Principal Academic Care is a senior leadership position responsible for providing strategic and operational oversight of curriculum, assessment, reporting, and student academic achievement at the College. Working in close partnership with the Principal and College Executive, the role leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality teaching and learning programs, ensuring compliance with the Australian Curriculum, ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies (BSSS) and CACGEL requirements and continuous improvement through the effective use of student performance data. The Assistant Principal Academic Care supports and develops the leadership capacity of Faculty Coordinators, strengthens pathways and partnerships within and beyond the College, and ensures that all aspects of academic life are grounded in the Vision and Josephite charism of St Mary MacKillop College.
Requirements

- ACT Working with Vulnerable People clearance (WWVP)
- ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
- Postgraduate qualification in Religious Education or Theological Studies
- Academic qualifications additional to Initial Teacher Education (Master’s Degree or five-year equivalent)
- Practicing Catholic connected to a parish or other worshipping community
- Provide a reference from a current Parish Priest
