About the Role
~1 min readThe Classroom Support Assistant plays a key role in supporting Classroom Teachers to ensure that all students with diverse learning needs can participate in learning activities to achieve academic goals and build social skills required for independent learning and confident participation. They have the capability to provide specialist technical advice, direction, and assistance using skills and knowledge relevant to the qualification required for this level, including but not limited to the supervision, training, and support of General Employees at a lower level.
This appointment is temporary as it is to replace an employee who is on parental leave and the incumbent is entitled to return to work early in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009.

- Certificate III in School-based Education Support or be undertaking an Initial Teacher Education university program of study
- Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
