St Francis Xavier College is a large 7 -12 comprehensive Catholic secondary school which has served the people of Canberra for nearly 50 years. About the Role    

The Project Officer (Numeracy) plays a vital role in the College by providing staff and student support and advice in teaching and learning and creating an environment where teaching and learning are valued.  The College is seeking a person who is committed to the vision of the College ‘Living the truth, leading with courage, learning for life’ and is invested in and will promote the mission of Catholic Education.  The successful applicant will be an experienced educator, will have demonstrated successful experience in enrichment practice in curriculum and will possess initiative, integrity and vision.

The Project Officer provides expert leadership in curriculum, teaching and learning in junior studies, utilising best practice in current research, evidence, and innovation to meet the needs of learners.  As a member of the Curriculum Leadership team, the Project Officer reports to the Assistant Principal Teaching and Learning and to the Principal in realising the vision and mission of the College. 

This appointment is temporary as it relates to a specific program that is temporary in nature.

Qualifications and Eligibility

  • Bachelor of Teaching or Master of Teaching 
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) registration  
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration  
  • Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
