Requirements

  1. Education
    1. Master’s Degree with a minimum of 2 years’ administrative or program compliance experience
OR
 
    1. Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years’ administrative or program compliance experience.
    2. Minimum of 2 years’ supervisory experience.
 
  1. Skills
 
    1. Analytical skills necessary to assist efforts in developing creative solutions to problems identified in services and/or areas in need of improvement.
    2. Advanced computer and information technology skills including electronic health records, databases etc.
    3. Strong interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    4. Ability to multi-task, problem solve, prioritize and follow through on workload as needed.
    5. Ability to conduct and/or oversee investigations and make recommendations for corrective action.
    6. Ability to develop policies and procedures to support Quality Improvement and Corporate Compliance initiatives
    7. Detail oriented and ability to audit based on regulations and/or requirements.
    8. Knowledge of OPWDD, OMH, OCFS, RHY regulations and requirements.
    9. Highly motivated, self-starter and can work well individually or in a team environment.
    10. Legally able to operate a vehicle in NYS.

II.        RESPONSIBLE TO:  Director of Quality and Compliance
 
Administrative/Supervisory
  1. Conduct and/or oversee audits to ensure compliance with regulations and that program requirements are being met and high quality standards are being maintained.
  2. Assist with developing and implementing required Plans of Correction.
  3. Conduct and/or oversee follow-up audits to monitor improvements and Plans of Correction.
  4. Assist with implementation and maintenance of the Corporate Compliance program.
  5. Provide feedback and guidance to programs and implement strategies to improve quality and compliance of documentation and services.
  6. Provide reports to Administration regarding adherence to standards and areas of potential risk.
  7. Assist with Corporate Compliance investigations of complaints, compliance, and incident-related concerns.
  8. Assist with oversight of the incident management process.
  9. Assist with writing policies and procedures to support quality and compliance initiatives.
  10. Assist in developing and tracking Agency outcomes to refine, develop and manage Quality goals.
  11. Assist in data collection, analysis and compilation of reports as required to analyze Agency compliance and performance.
  12. Assist with tracking Agency and program training requirements and coordinating training as needed.
  13. Revise Agency training presentations as needed.
  14. Assist in providing support with external audits and site visits.
  15. Conduct Special Investigations as assigned.
  16. Conduct Agency Surveys as requested.
  17. Maintain knowledge of and adhere to agency, state, and federal regulations and requirements.
  18. Assist with HIPAA related inquiries and privacy issues.
  19. Responsible for maintaining strict program and client confidentiality.
  20. Participate in staff meetings, training activities and relevant committees.
  21. Participate as a member of the Area Corporate Compliance and Incident Review Committees and act as chair of the committees in the absence of the Quality and Compliance Director.
  22. Performs other related duties as required.
