For over 60 years, The Guidance Center has been a primary mental health support agency, providing compassionate, professional care to individuals and families in Cumberland County, NJ. As a non-profit organization, our dedicated team of professionals, including doctors, nurses, therapists, and support staff, works to diagnose and treat all types of mental illness.

As the Clinical Care Systems Director of Operations at Cumberland County Guidance Center, you will provide essential administrative and clinical leadership for our Outpatient and Community Support Services (CSS) programs. In this exciting role, you’ll oversee daily operations while offering clinical supervision to staff delivering vital behavioral health and substance use services. Your expertise will ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines and support ongoing staff development through evidence-based approaches like Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). You'll monitor employee productivity, facilitate interdisciplinary care, and uphold high standards for client engagement and treatment planning.

Additionally, you'll prepare and manage contracts and budgets, collaborate with various departments, represent the agency at county and state meetings, and ensure HIPAA compliance. To thrive as the Clinical Care Systems Director of Operations at Cumberland County Guidance Center, a robust set of skills and qualifications is essential. Applicants must possess a Master's Degree in Behavioral Health Sciences or a related discipline, along with LCSW, LPC, or LCADC credentials. The role requires the CCS certification, which should be obtained soon after hire, and having a CADC or LCADC certification in treating substance use disorders is preferred. A minimum of two years in the administration of behavioral health services, complemented by five years of clinical experience working with psychiatric and co-occurring disorders, will set candidates up for success.

Additionally, strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are paramount, as you will be overseeing program directors and fostering collaborative interdisciplinary care. A valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean five-year driving record that meets organizational standards is also necessary for this impactful position.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Master's Degree in the Behavioral Health Sciences or related discipline 
  • LCSW LPC or LCADC required
  • CCS required at hire or obtained shortly thereafter with specialized training
  • CADC or LCADC certification in treating substance use disorders preferred
  • Two years of experience in administration of behavioral health services
