Die-Cutting Operator (2nd Shift)

Operates equipment to die cut printed product to customer specifications.

• →Performs other related duties as assigned.
• →Demonstrates the behaviors of punctuality, regular attendance, professionalism towards supervisors and co-workers, and self-directed task completion.
• →Maintains clean work area.
• →Must comply with all departmental SOP's (Standard Operating Procedures), company GMP's (Good Manufacturing Practices), Employee Handbook Policies, including attendance, and all safety rules and standards.
• →Works normal shift hours and overtime as required.
• →Coordinates efforts as part of the team to provide assistance to all co-workers in all departments to maximize production efficiencies as needed.
• →Must have the ability to read a standard ruler to 1/32" and a metric ruler to 1 mm.
• →Trains co-workers and new hires to set up, operate and use equipment.
• →General knowledge and understanding of the die cutting processes and equipment.
• →Set up print and die cut sections of die cutters in accordance with proper setup techniques.
• →Read job tickets to determine set up specifications and instructions.
• →Observe and monitor machine operation to detect malfunctions and to determine if adjustments are needed.
• →Inspects die cut product for thorough cutting, precise and consistent print-to-cut registration and positioning.
• →Follows instructions accurately.
• →Maintains records of daily production using specific forms and data tracking systems.
• →Trains co-workers to set-up and operate machines.
• →Performs daily, weekly and monthly maintenance and troubleshooting.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Regularly required to stand and reach with hands and arms. 

Frequently required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch and talk or hear. 

Frequently lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 125 pounds. 

Requires constant movement and bending. 

Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, dust, chemicals and vibration.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
