Phlebotomist

• Monday through Friday 5:30 am–4:00 pm
• Saturday 6:00 am–12:00 pm
• Schedule may include weekends and holidays as needed
• Coverage purchased in 4-hour or 8-hour blocks
• Full-time and part-time opportunities available
• Base year anticipated
• July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027

• Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience in a clinical or hospital setting required
• Phlebotomy certification preferred
• Comfortable working with elderly and medically complex patients
• Strong reliability, professionalism, and attendance required
• Ability to work across multiple clinic locations based on operational need
• Comfortable using electronic medical record systems and completing required data entry

• →Perform venipuncture and collect blood and body fluid specimens for laboratory testing
• →Process, label, and handle specimens in accordance with clinical standards
• →Provide on-site phlebotomy support across VA clinics and medical facilities
• →Maintain infection control, safety, and specimen accuracy standards
• →Complete required EMR documentation and data entry
• →Coordinate specimen transport and communicate with laboratory staff as needed
• →Support related duties based on clinic workflow and staffing needs
