As a Commercial Lines Technician team member, you will help fulfil the promise that Central makes to our customers by recognizing, understanding, and responding to the needs of our internal and external customers. We are seeking individuals with a service first mentality and effective communication skills, all while maintaining a high level of attention to details.   What we are looking for 1 year experience in customer service Insurance related designation- preferred   What you’ll do New Business & Underwriting Support Independently screens, quotes, and processes new business submissions, including initial review and triage, and processes policy issues, renewals, and endorsements Performs renewal reviews within department authority and makes recommendations to the underwriter Processes manual coverages by completing accurate rating calculations, preparing manual endorsement wording, and attaching appropriate forms Reviews endorsements to ensure compliance with underwriting guidelines Collects information, performs data entry, analyzes risk factors, and coordinates documentation for underwriting files to meet policy needs Orders reports as requested by underwriters, reviews reports, and completes general duties within department authority Provides a high level of accuracy and support to underwriters throughout the new business lifecycle and ongoing renewal account maintenance   Customer Service & Relationship Management Responds to inquiries, researches customer needs, and coordinates necessary follow-up with agents and underwriters within department customer service standards Builds and maintains strong working relationships through collaboration with agents, underwriters, sales managers, and other stakeholders Effectively presents information and responds to questions from individuals and groups while providing outstanding hospitality   Technical Knowledge & Systems Develops and applies understanding of Commercial Lines insurance, company products, pricing, and coverages in all states where Central does business Develops and applies knowledge of Commercial Lines policy systems and related supporting systems to review, update, and process policies while making sound business decisions in accordance with standard procedures   Training, Testing & Department Support Uses knowledge of Commercial Lines system and processes to help train underwriters, agents, sales managers, and other stakeholders and conducts workshops Assists with testing initiatives Performs department audits   Hiring Range $23/hour–$30/hour represents typical starting salaries and is a portion of the full pay range for the role. Starting pay is determined based on several factors, including relevant experience, education, skills, and certifications.
