Senior Gerrit Code Review Expert

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Gerrit Code Review Expert to support the modernization and migration of the existing Gerrit environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the existing Gerrit setup, configuration, plugins and usage.
• Assess version, performance and modernization requirements.
• Define and execute the update/migration strategy.
• Plan and conduct a PoC for the new Gerrit environment.
• Configure and implement the new environment.
• Migrate repositories and code review workflows.
• Integrate Gerrit into existing CI/CD pipelines and developer toolchains.
• Define security and permission concepts.
• Train development teams and provide knowledge transfer.
• Create operational documentation.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience with Gerrit Code Review.
• Experience with Gerrit administration, configuration and migration.
• Knowledge of Git-based development environments.
• Experience integrating Gerrit with CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of security, permissions and access management.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Fluent German and English.
• Automotive experience is a plus.

Important: Practical project experience is mandatory; theoretical knowledge alone is not sufficient.
