Cannabis Post-Processing Technician

The Post-Processing Technician is responsible for refining, purifying, and preparing cannabis extracts produced from a Luna hydrocarbon extraction system. This role ensures products meet quality, safety, and production standards while maintaining compliance with state regulations and company SOPs.

• →Operate and monitor post-processing equipment following extraction.
• →Perform solvent recovery, winterization, filtration, decarboxylation, and distillation processes.
• →Assist with hydrocarbon extraction operations using Luna extraction equipment.
• →Prepare biomass and materials for extraction runs.
• →Transfer, label, and track cannabis materials using inventory systems such as METRC.
• →Monitor temperatures, pressures, vacuum levels, and process parameters.
• →Collect samples for quality testing and maintain batch records.
• →Clean and sanitize extraction and processing equipment.
• →Follow all safety procedures related to flammable solvents and cannabis processing.
• →Coordinate with packaging and production teams to ensure workflow efficiency.

• 1–2+ years in cannabis extraction, processing, manufacturing, or laboratory environments.
• Understanding of hydrocarbon extraction and post-processing techniques.
• Ability to follow SOPs and maintain detailed documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to lift 40+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Must meet state cannabis worker permit requirements.

• Experience operating a Luna IO extraction.
• Experience with wiped-film distillation equipment.
• Knowledge of METRC or seed-to-sale tracking systems.
• Chemistry, laboratory, or manufacturing background.
• Experience with R&D and process optimization.
